Another man in Ukambani hangs on a helicopter as it takes off (video)
A third man has grabbed headlines after clinging to a chopper as it took off – The incident happened in Ukambani – He joins the other two, Saleh Wanjala of Bungoma and Julius Mwithalie of Meru Now this is becoming a culture in Kenya. It all started with Saleh Wanjala of Bungoma when he hang on a chopper that had ferried the body of slain businessman Jacob Juma in June 2016.
Saleh fell off two kilometres away and sustained serious injuries. He was arraigned in court and charged for endangering his life and those in the chopper. Then came Julius Mwithalie of Meru who sneaked and hang on opposition leader Raila Odinga’s chopper as it took off from Maili Mbili. Mwithalie took his position well on the landing skis of the chopper, sat comfortably and waved a goodbye to the crowd that was left stunned. Raila gives ODM governors an order that Joho obeys immediately Two kilometres away, the pilot of the chopper lowered it and Mwithalie ended his short, adventurous, dangerous flight. He was arrested later on and charged, but Raila offered him and his siblings a job. Now the two have been joined by a man who has been nicknamed the Ukambani James Bond. In a short video shared by celebrated radio host Shaffie Weru through his Instagram account, a group of men is seen milling around a chopper as it readies to take off.
