Honoring Florence’s memory in the 2024 Boston Marathon!

As I lace up my running shoes, memories of Florence warm my heart. She believed in the safety of running, and her encouragement echoed every step of my journey. In 2022, she cheered me on at the B.A.A. Half marathon, a moment etched in my soul.

Florence, as a nurse and as a beacon of kindness, spent 15 years at Lahey Health, where she later became a patient. The care she received from the Cancer Center, especially Dr. Nugent, Dr Gunturu, Bridget Mello NP and the entire team, was a true blessing. Now, I run to give back to Lahey Health, raising $10,000 to support others in their fight against this tough disease.
