UK-Based Kenyans to Host Diaspora Dinner in London with Rigathi Gachagua

Kenyan expatriates in the United Kingdom will gather in London on Saturday, 16 May 2026, for a “Diaspora Dinner” at Horizons Banqueting in Hounslow, where former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, are scheduled to attend.

The event is intended to bring together members of the Kenyan diaspora with senior political figures from Nairobi. Organisers say the dinner will provide a structured setting for dialogue, networking, and engagement. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are priced at £65 to cover organisational and hospitality costs.

Rigathi Gachagua and Pastor Dorcas Gachagua are expected to lead discussions during the evening, with a focus on interaction between attendees and the visiting delegation. Participants will include professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and community leaders from across the United Kingdom and parts of Europe.

London has been selected as the venue due to its large Kenyan population, one of the most established diaspora communities in Europe. The programme is designed to encourage direct exchanges on Kenya’s development priorities and to explore opportunities for investment and collaboration.

Diaspora remittances remain a significant source of foreign exchange for Kenya.  Attendance requires advance booking, with organisers providing payment and reservation details. The dinner is expected to serve as both a social gathering and a platform for strengthening ties between the diaspora and national leadership.
