BIC ONBOARDS CONTENT CREATORS FOR ITS SOCIAL DISTANCING CAMPAIGN FOR KIDS

BIC, the country’s leading stationery brand, has partnered with family-focused digital content creators, The Green Calabash and Yummy Mummy, for the latest kids campaign, “Inspire Kids’ Creativity with BIC Kids”. The collaboration will see content created to share with parents the different ways to keep active and engaged at home.

With all school-going children expected to go back to learning starting January 2021, BIC East Africa is encouraging parents to incorporate fun learning and coloring sessions for their kids as an easy way to smoothly transition them back to class-environment learning.

As part of BIC’s “Inspire Kids’ Creativity with BIC Kids” campaign, The Green Calabash will encourage parents to participate in the campaign’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) project that will engage parents and children. The fun activity calls on kids to create personalized wings, that once worn, will act as a reminder to social distance from others especially with social interaction expected to increase once they resume classes. The content will be shared on the social channels of BIC East Africa as well as on the social accounts of The Green Calabash.

BIC East Africa’s Marketing Manager, Paloma Lengema said, “We value this partnership because at BIC, we believe in supporting parents as teachers through providing creative activities, educational materials and above all, quality products. As a brand, we wanted to collaborate with parents who understand the challenges that moms and dads are facing today to keep their kids entertained while at home. We are confident that the content that will be generated will engage and resonate with today’s parents.”

BIC is expanding its popular stationery line of products in East Africa with the BIC Kids Evolution Stripes coloring pencils. The new set of 12 coloring pencils, packaged in a resealable wallet, is designed to be easy for children to use for everyday coloring projects both at home and at school. The pencils are manufactured with pigmented leads that are easy to sharpen for creating crisp lines and vivid solids. The coloring pencils feature break-resistant barrels that do not splinter if broken, thus offering long-lasting performance.

The BIC Kids Evolution Stripes coloring pencils are now available in Kenya in retailers and book shops, and on leading e-commerce platforms.
