Maryanne co-Host (JBR),Sam Maina(MPESA) one of the founders of Jambo Radio Network(JBR), hand over a check of $7500 contributed,by JBR listerners to the MC for the Funeral Fundraising Rev.Jeremiah Githere,Pastor Grace International Church,Lowell,Massachusets.This was during the Memorial & Fundraising Service of the Late Rachel Muteru held last Sunday at Calvary Evangelical Church,Dracut Massachusetts.
The total amount raised in Lowell area by the Kenyan Community, was about $ 58,000 combined,This was during two thanksgiving and Memorial Services held on the same day at St Stephens Church,Lowell and Calvary Evangelical Church,Dracut to help with Funeral expenses of the two Kenyans who passed on last week,the late Rachel Muteru and the Late Robert Laban Kimungu .
“To God be the Glory the unity of Kenyans was proved strong, even in the middle of Storms.” said Rev Joseph Waiyaki Secretary of the Kenyan Pastors Fellowship In America,New England Branch.
The total raised at St Stephen’s Church was about $27,000 and total at Calvary Evangelical Church was about $ 31,000. Total raised was $ 58,000.
