Wealthy musician who was given a job by Uhuru plunges into the 2017 election race

 renown Kenyan artist has decided to switch lanes into the political scene

-Following his announcement, the artist has immediately made his intentions of vying for an elective seat known

-He is set to square it out with several other candidates for the Starehe MP seat

Wealthy musician Charles Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, has made the hold switch from music and entrepreneurship to politics.

Jaguar, who is known for hits such as Kigeugeu and Take it slow, already has an elective post in mind-the Starehe Parliamentary seat.

He made the announcement of his desire to square it out with other politicians on Friday, March 10, after reportedly spending most of the day campaigning in the Nairobi CBD.

Back in January, the renown artist sparked controversy when he resigned from his lucrative post as the NACADA director. At the time ,Jaguar cited ‘personal reasons’ as the major player in his decision.
