Kenyans in Dubai Access Consular Services at Community Open Day

The Kenyan Consulate General in Dubai has provided consular and government services to hundreds of Kenyans living in Dubai and the Northern Emirates during a community outreach event.
The open day brought together government service providers and members of the Kenyan diaspora, allowing attendees to seek assistance with document authentication, immigration matters, trade and labour-related services. The consulate offered its services free of charge, with participants only required to pay applicable eCitizen fees.
The initiative aimed to make government services more accessible to Kenyans living and working in the United Arab Emirates without requiring them to make routine visits to government offices. The event also provided an opportunity for consular officials to engage directly with community members, address their concerns and strengthen communication between the mission and Kenyans living abroad.
Alongside the official services, the gathering featured Kenyan music, dance and other cultural activities. The performances celebrated the country’s heritage and gave attendees an opportunity to connect with fellow Kenyans and maintain their cultural ties while living overseas.
The consulate described the event as a success, citing the strong turnout and enthusiastic participation. Cultural performances, branded memorabilia and social activities contributed to the occasion, which combined access to government services with an opportunity for community members to interact.
The mission also recognised the sponsors, exhibitors, service providers and other partners who supported the programme. Their involvement helped facilitate the delivery of services and cultural activities.
Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Korir Sing’Oei also commended the consulate for its outreach efforts and commitment to serving Kenyans outside the country.
