Kenyan Man Killed in a Car Crash in Columbus, Ohio
The Franklin County, Ohio Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver killed in a single-car accident early Saturday morning.
A Kenyan man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Columbus, OH on Saturday.
40-year-old Biko Wambugu Wachira was killed after his vehicle veered off the road and hit a concrete wall.
Wachira’s vehicle then went across the freeway, crashing into guardrail and into the median. The accident happened on SR315 in the area of the Bethel Road overpass about 3:30 a.m.
He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The cause of the deadly crash had not been determined at the time of the report.
The police are still investigating the cause of the crash site and hope to learn the cause of the incident as the investigation concludes.
Mr Wachira is a nephew to Mike Wambugu of Dallas, TX.

The accident happened around 3:30am on State Route 315 southbound near the Bethel Road exit. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Biko Wambugu Wachira, 40, drove off the right side of SR 315 South and struck a concrete wall at the Bethel Road overpass. The vehicle then traveled across SR 315 and hit a guardrail on the left side of the road before stopping in the left two lanes of SR 315 South.
Columbus Fire Medics pronounced Wachira dead at the scene. Deputies say Wachira was not wearing a seat belt.
Investigators say it is not clear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
