Jubilee ‘Mole’ within NASA Leaked Information on Raila Withdrawal from Race Before Official Announcement
The National Alliance (NASA) says there might be Jubilee moles within the coalition who have been leaking secret NASA secret information to Jubilee.
As an example, a source in NASA told The Standard that President Uhuru and other Jubilee leaders started talking about Raila Odinga’s withdrawal from the October 26th repeat election before the NASA presidential candidate made the official announcement.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta was the first one to speak about Raila’s withdrawal from the race two days before while he was at the Coast. Then it was a chorus from other Jubilee leaders and their social media spin doctors. We suspect we have moles in our midst or Uhuru is using National Intelligence Service to penetrate our operations,” a source in NASA told The Standard .
The NASA source said the coalition does not make much of the leak since Raila’s withdrawal was going to happen and he would have made it public anyway, saying that “those who got the information beforehand only helped to pass our message to Kenyans.”
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in a statement on Wednesday said that although Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka had sent a letter indicating they have withdrawn from the October 26th repeat election, the team has not submitted statutory Form 24A as is required by law for a presidential candidate to withdraw from a race.
“Once the Commission receives the requisite Notice from any of the candidates, it will process the same in accordance with the requisite provision of the Law,” the statement by the IEBC statement read in part.
