Bodyguard Breaks Silence: Eyewitness Account Sheds New Light on Raila Odinga’s Final Moments in India

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s longtime bodyguard, Maurice Ogeta, has spoken publicly for the first time about the circumstances surrounding Odinga’s final moments in India, offering a personal account that challenges some of the claims that have circulated over the years.
According to Ogeta, he was present when Odinga collapsed and was only about one meter away from him at the time. He recalled that the two had gone out for their usual exercise routine at a villa where they regularly walked on a 50 meter track.
Ogeta said they had agreed that Odinga would complete five rounds that day. However, after finishing only one round, he stopped unexpectedly. Ogeta stated that Odinga did not complain or show signs of distress before the incident.
“The only thing he said was ‘Ai,’ and that was it,” Ogeta recalled, describing the moment as sudden and tragic.
His remarks have renewed public interest in the events surrounding Odinga’s death, as many seek to understand what transpired during his final moments.
A video of Ogeta’s account has since surfaced online, drawing widespread attention and discussion.
