Joyful celebrations at PCEA NEEMA lowell as 47 members receive their Theological Education by Extension (T.E.E) Diplomas
It was joy and celebrations on Sunday Nov. 12th, 2017 at PCEA Neema Church, Lowell as 47 members received diplomas in Theological Education by Extension (TEE).
In a graduation ceremony-cum-service officiated by the PCEA TEE Director, Rev. Patrick Mũthũngũ and the PCEA Neema Church Pastors, Revs. Dr. Karĩmi Mũmbũi and Dr. Eric Mũchina, the graduands and members sung and danced in a service filled with ululations as families, friends and other members congratulated the new team.
TEE is a program that was started by the PCEA in Kenya in the early ‘80s to teach members some basic lessons in theology and has so far seen over 50,000 persons go through the program at the basic level.
Those that desire to continue can go on to the Higher National Diploma level or pursue Counselling or Wholistic Nurturing of Children. The excitement on Sunday saw about 80 more enroll for new classes.
Preaching at the function on Matt. 9:35-39, the guest preacher, Rev. Mũthũngũ spoke about the 4 Cs of commissioning i.e. Character, Competence, Commitment, and Commitment. It was a sight to behold and many cannot wait for the next one. Glory be to God.
