Sportpesa Bounce back
Betting firm Sportpesa is in the process of re joining the Kenyan market after one year absence.
This following a scuffle with the taxman that saw several betting companies close shop in the country.
It is not yet clear if Sportpesa will receive the clearance to operate in Kenya or whether they have already paid the billions of shillings in tax areas that led to legal battle with KRA before the company opted out
Sportpesa which commanded the largest market share as at the time it departed the local market will be looking to recapture the hearts of local gamblers.
In a tweet from the company the application to resume operations in Kenya is with the Betting Control and Licencing Board (BCLB) and they are just waiting for feedback from the regulator.
