See What the Kenyan Lady Who Won Obama’s Heart is Doing in US (PHOTO)
- A young Kenyan lady, who was recognised by US President Barrack Obama during his visit to Kenya, is now making history in one of America’s major cities, New York.
Josephine Kulea, the founder and the executive director of Samburu Girls Foundation, is on a huge billboard in New York’s major commercial intersection, Times Square, inspiring the world with her great story.
Ms Kulea, who is also a nurse by profession came to the limelight following her instrumental crusade of rescuing girls from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Child Marriage and beading.
In 2015, while President Obama was addressing youth at Kasarani Stadium he said that Mulea gave him hope with her efforts to rescue the young girls.
“That is the kind of young leadership we need. I am hopeful because of a young woman named Josephine Kulea,” Obama said.- Source: Samrack.info
