POPULAR ANCHOR JANET MBUGUA RESIGNS FROM CITIZEN TV

Popular television news anchor Janet Mbugua has resigned from her job at Citizen Television.

Ms Mbugua made the announcement on Monday evening during the Monday Special bulletin which she co-hosts with fellow journalist Hussein Mohammed.

She handed over the role to Ann Kiguta.

Ms Mbugua started her career in media back in 2004, at the age of 19,  at Capital FM.

In 2009, she was hired as a news anchor, reporter and producer of pan-african current affairs show, Africa 360, by South African television station etv .
