Politicians, clergy at Bishop Stephen Mwaniki homecoming
The African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa welcomed home their new bishop Stephen Mwaniki on Sunday. The grand homecoming ceremony was held at Ngangarithi AIPCA church in Nyeri town. Mwaniki was the first AIPCA bishop of Central Mukaro Diocese to be inaugurated.
Present at the colourful ceremony were clergymen, politicians, businessmen and faithfuls. They included Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe , Nyeri Town MP Esther Murugi , political analyst Ngunjiri Wambugu , Nyeri politicians Thuo Mathenge and Wambugu Nyamu , businessman Nginga Kimotho and Central region police coordinator Larry Kieng .
The bishop was an Archdeacon before his elevation.
