Nikita Kering and Khaligraph Jones choosen to represent Kenya in season 2 of Coke studio
Rapper Khaligraph Jones and songstress Nikita Kering’ will represent Kenya in season 2 of Coke Studio.
The two talented artists will join forces with some of Africa’s finest musicians to transform their hottest tracks into fresh and distinct musical experiences
Coca-Cola has kicked off its highly anticipated music show, COKE STUDIO™ in Kenya. The initiative aims to bring together the most exciting breakthrough artists from around the world to create ‘Real Magic’ through collaborative musical endeavors.
For the 2023 edition, COKE STUDIO™ has assembled a diverse lineup of 18 breakthrough music artists. These artists hail from South Africa, Egypt, the US, the UK, Canada, Colombia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, China, Korea, and the Philippines. Kenya’s renowned rapper Khaligraph Jones and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Nikita Kering will join this year’s lineup. The two will work alongside top African artists to reimagine their hottest tracks into new and unique musical experiences.
During the launch event, Isabelle Kariuki-Rostom, Coca-Cola’s Marketing Director for East and Central Africa, expressed excitement about the COKE STUDIO™ return. She further emphasized the platform’s intention to create music that unlocks uplifting experiences through the magic present in unexpected connections of border-transcending alliances.
COKE STUDIO™ was initially launched in Pakistan in 2008 and later gained global recognition. Since its introduction in Kenya in 2017, the music show has established a strong presence in Kenya. It is now expanding into a global property to foster even greater consumer engagement.
This year, the platform returns bigger and bolder, with several offerings. These include new artist collision song releases, festival sponsorships, listening parties, campus tours, live performances, AR and digital content, and on-pack experiences. Coca-Cola will also introduce a web-based platform that offers exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content and new music releases from partner artists, featuring a diverse mix of global, regional, and local talent.
The season, running till September 2023 aims to enable audiences worldwide to discover new music and experience the magic of collaboration.
