Mystery as Nandi Man Vanishes in Dubai After Months of Contact With Family

A family in Nandi County is appealing for help to trace their son, Brian Kipkosgei, who disappeared in the United Arab Emirates after losing contact with relatives in January.
Kipkosgei, from Arwos village, travelled to the UAE in 2025 in search of work. He initially lived in Dubai before relocating to Al Ain, where he found employment at a warehouse.
According to his family, he remained in regular contact for several months and frequently updated them about his work and daily life. However, communication stopped abruptly in January, and repeated calls and messages have gone unanswered.
Relatives described him as a hardworking young man who had hoped to improve his family’s living conditions through employment abroad. They said his sudden disappearance has caused deep concern and uncertainty.
The family has reported the matter to authorities in Kenya and contacted Kenyan community groups in the UAE in an effort to locate him. So far, no information about his whereabouts has emerged.
Many travel through private recruitment arrangements that may not provide adequate safeguards or support. Cases involving missing workers have increasingly raised concerns about the risks faced by citizens seeking employment abroad.
Kipkosgei’s relatives are now calling on the Kenyan government, the Kenyan embassy in the UAE, and diaspora organisations to intensify efforts to trace him. They have also appealed to Kenyans living in Al Ain and nearby areas to share any information that could assist in locating him.
