DP Ruto attends Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai
Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday lauded teachers for the crucial role they play in peace building and conflict resolution. Ruto said teachers have a great responsibility in offering wise counsel to the public and particularly in the fight against radicalization in the schools they administer.
The Deputy President was speaking at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai when he joined other world leaders in congratulating 10 finalists for the Varkey Foundation’s global teacher prize 2016. Ayub Mohammed, a business studies teacher from Easleigh High school in Nairobi was among the finalists but missed out on the Ksh 1oo million award which was won by Palestinian Hanan Al Hroub
