The Rt. Rev. William L. Murdoch, Bishop.Bishop of the Anglican Diocese in New England (ADNE) prayed for Father George ( St Stephens Church Lynn,MA”who is recuperating well at the Mass General Hospital,Boston Massachusetts.
This was during a colorful ,well attended baptism & confirmation service at St Paul’s Community Church, at 114 Andover street,Lawrence Massachusetts.
The ceremony was presided by The Rt. Rev. William L. Murdoch)Bishop) and officiated by Ven Peter Gachathi Rector,St Paul’s Community Church Lawrence,Massachusetts.
The Ceremony also commemorated “Fathers Day” which falls on June 19th and reiterated the pivotal role paid by Fathers in the families,community and nation in general.
The Rt. Rev. William L. Murdoch,urged men to love their wives just as Jesus loved the Church.How did Jesus love the Church ?How does Jesus love us?He did everything for us,He died for us on the cross of Calvary for us.
He emphasized “Husbands love your wife as Christ love the Church.On the day of Judgement every married man in this room will be asked “Did you love you wife as Christ loved his Church.”? Lord help us! Only by your grace.
For wives,love your husband in this way,respect your husband and call them to love you as Christ loved the Church.
Today as we think of Fathers day,lets turn away from the old ways and choose the new way to follow Jesus,make him lord of your life and lord of your marriage.Do not give in to the lies of the flesh,do not give in to all the foolishness we see all around us,the pornography,the adultery that happens we need to renounce that.”
