Laikipia county has made it into New York Times“52 Paces to Go” list for 2017. Laikipia county was ranked 47th in the paper’s annual list that ranks the best places to visit around the world.Among the specific places in Laikipia that the paper recommends as must visit is the Borana Conservancy, a non-profit conservation organisation dedicated to the sustainable conservation of critical habitat and wildlife.Also given a special mention is a newly opened property, the 10-suite Arijiju, which is famous for guides who take guests on excursions, including fly fishing, trail running, horseback riding and treetop canopy tours.Laikipia is the only location in Kenya that made it into the list while other places in Africa ranked are Botswana in fifth position, the Moroccan city of Marrakesh (11), Madagascar (19) and Gabon (27).Source: New York TimesNairobi News
