US-Based Kenyan Dies After Broad-Daylight Stabbing in Garissa County

A 25-year-old American citizen of Somali heritage was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in Bula Mzuri village, Garissa County, while visiting family members in Kenya.

The victim had travelled from the United States to reunite with relatives when he was attacked in what witnesses described as a sudden and unprovoked incident. The killing took place in full view of residents, leaving many shocked by the circumstances surrounding his death.

Residents said the young man was well known in the community and had received a warm welcome upon his return. His death has deeply affected relatives and neighbours who had gathered to spend time with him during his visit.

“He was stabbed in broad daylight, and that is what has left everyone in complete shock,” one resident said.

Family members claim the suspected attacker is known within the area and has a history of criminal activity. They say they have already provided the suspect’s identity to authorities but are concerned by what they describe as a lack of progress in the investigation.

“It’s really disappointing to know that for the last three days nothing has been done while we already provided the name of the suspect,” a relative said.

The family and local residents are now calling on security agencies to arrest the suspect and ensure those responsible are held accountable. They argue that a prompt response is necessary to maintain public confidence in law enforcement.
