Some people have suffered more than their share of hard times and heartbreak in life. Kenyan mother of four,Beatrice Ihwagi from Lowell,Massachusetts may finally have that happy ending she so deserves.
Doctors told her a dialysis machine would help sustain her life, but not for long. She would need a kidney transplant.
When her daughter, Ruth Ihwagi found out, the 24-year-old told her mother she wanted to get tested to see if she was a match. She was!
After vigorous medical tests, treatments and whole new emotional roller-coaster,she matched as the perfect kidney donor.
We are pleased to report that Beatrice Ihwagi, continues to show great resilience and is finally scheduled to undergo the long awaited Kidney transplant on Jan 4 2016, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA with her daughter Ruth Ihwagi also of Lowell as the donor.
The family of Beatrice Ihwagi of Lowell Massachusetts would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Kenyan community in Lowell,New England and beyond for the overwhelming response in contributing towards Beatrice’s kidney fund and the relentless prayers and words of encouragement.
Special thanks to Rev.Dr.Mumbui Karimi Pastor, PCEA NEEMA Church Lowell and the entire PCEA NEEMA church and the general Lowell community for your labor of love, prayers and financial assistance towards our medical expenses,May God richly bless you.
We would request all of goodwill to continue to remember this family in prayers as the journey of recovery is long, but our God will see us through.Selah!
