Uhuru Compensates Mombasa Students Handsomely For Keeping Them Waiting
The President, Uhuru Kenyatta is in the spirit of giving. During his tour of the coastal counties, Kenyatta gave Shs. 2 Million to students he had kept waiting for hours.
He was at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic in Mombasa to launch the first batch of equipment under the Kenya-China TVET project.
He however arrived late causing students to wait for him for hours. And to compensate for his keeping them,he left behind some Ksh 2 million.
”I delayed because I was out seeking Kenyans’ votes. I know some of you have not eaten anything the whole day and others will not arrive home early because I have made you wait. Don’t worry I am giving the principal Kes 2 million so that you get sorted,” Uhuru told the students.
The head of state was in Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa counties campaigning towards his re-election bid.
