Tony Ngarí put an exclamation point on an incredible 18 holes at Far Corner golf course with an all-time winning moment.

Tony Ngarí put an all-time exclamation point on his june 2025 SBGC tournament of champions championship victory, concluding a final-round net score 65 with a 10-foot, bomb of a par putt on the 18th hole to create one of the most memorable moments in tournament history on Father’s Day weekend. Tony went out in Net score 34 on Saturday 06/14/2025 at Far Corner golf Club to finish 7 under at the SBGC June championship.

He claimed his 6th SBGC Tour victory completing SBGC monthly tournament grand slam and his second back to back win in 4 years. Bakí Bakí who tied for second waited patiently for him to implode, but on a course that demands everything from those attempting to conquer it, Tony Ngarí was able to dig deeper.
His play across the board at Far Corner earned him the June SBGC trophy, but the 8 pars put a dagger in the championship – the stuff of legend at the SBGC-hosted event and Far Corner itself.
The course was soaked after periodic downpours during the week, and Tony adjusted to the conditions, thanks in part to a scouting round he had with his crew of Freddie, Samson and Loise earlier in the week before coming back out for the tournament.
It’s definitely like a storybook, fairytale ending, kind of underdog fighting back, not giving up, never quitting. With the rain and everything and then the grind, I mean, you couldn’t write a better story. Tony is just so fortunate to be on the receiving end of that. It was as gutsy a performance on a golf course as someone can muster.
Tony now joins Francis Kíbugi, Bill Emase, Freddie Chege as the only players to win 6 times on SBGC tour.
