Shameless Househelp Jailed After Stealing Sh50,000 From Good Samaritan Who Housed Her After Sack

A house help was sentenced to two years in prison after she was found guilty of Stealing Sh50,000 from a good samaritan who took her in for the night after she kicked out by her employer.

Emily Gesare, 19 pleaded guilty to the theft charge when she appeared before Chief Magistrate Vincent Mugendi Nyaga in Kisii.

According to police testimony, Gesare managed to access the complainant, Everlyne Kwamboka’s M-pesa pin number and transferred the amount to her own mpesa account without Kwamboka’s consent.

Gesare had found favour in the eyes of the complainant Everlyne Kwamboka who accommodated her after she was helpless.

The court heard that Gesare was arrested after Kwamboka reported the matter to the police on February 17.
