Raila Visits Frail-Looking Billionaire Businessman Chris Kirubi at His Home in Nairobi
Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday morning paid a visit to ailing businessman Chris Kirubi, who recently returned to the country after traveling to the United States to receive specialized treatment.
Odinga, who was accompanied by his lawyer Paul Mwangi, visited the billionaire at his residence in Nairobi’s Loresho estate.
“This morning I visited Chris Kirubi who has recently returned from overseas where he had gone for medical treatment. It was great to see him in high spirits and we wish him all the best as he continues with his recovery,” Raila said in a social media post.
Taking to Twitter, Kirubi thanked the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader for visiting him, adding that it was time for all Kenyans to work together towards a better nation.
“Earlier today my friend RailaOdinga paid me a courtesy call at my home. I am proud that he wants to leave a legacy of a united Kenya. It is time we work together towards a better nation,” Kirubi tweeted.
The tycoon jetted back to the country in March after receiving specialized treatment for a yet to be disclosed ailment in the US for six months. In the photos posted on Odinga’s online walls, the billionaire businessman, who is in his seventies, appears frail.
