Ven.Samuel N. Kimohu Vicar in charge of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church authored the book.
In his book “Unstucking the Stuck”he expressed concern about increasing marriage problems in the society and how they get trapped in the vicious cycle of unresolved anger, misunderstanding and miscommunication.
In his book Unstucking the stuck he asked “Have you ever been trapped and unable to move?Maybe you drove your car to a certain village in a rainy season, and you got stuck in the muddy road? By reading this book you will learn some tips to help you not get” stuck” in your marriage and discover the goal of marriages which is not to wrestle over authority in our homes, but rather to submit and remain faithful and loving children of God.
He attributed such problems to the lack of understanding among couples and others and hoped that the book would help change the attitudes of people in addressing the problem.
Many people in attendance commended the Author Ven. Samuel Kimohu efforts, the initiative and foresight of the author in writing the book ” The Unstucking of the Stuck”
and recommended it to be used in marriage counseling, in churches and other institutions to address the problems of many Marriages losing its flavor.
” The Unstucking of the Stuck” authored by Rev. Samuel Kimohu was launched at St. Stephens Church in Lowell MA. Senior visiting Professor Lawyer Kafureka from Makerere University now in USA with a special program at the Yale University in Connecticut and Lecturer Jason Maagera at the Yale University but from Kenya also attended the ceremony.
The information contained in the book is a good tool for use in homes, between married couples and between parents and their children.
The author of the book “Unstucking the Stuck” will now reach most of those people who never have time to listen to his weekly counseling programs at the Jambo Boston Radio. Small domestic problems have destroyed very many homes because of lack of intervention, but with the help of this book, some homes may be saved from destruction and orderliness may be restored in those homes on the verge of collapse said, Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity who travelled all the way from Hartford Connecticut to witness this historic book launch.
The book we are launching today “Unstucking the Stuck” Author is telling us (Christians) not to blend with everyone instead we should affect them positively-not like the people who lived during the time of Malachi the last prophet in the Old Testament. The people had thrown away God’s Ten Commandments and broke all God’s rules regarding marriage life. The book is dedicated to the theme of restoration of honest marriage life which is expected to be an effort of all God fearing people.
Rev.Dr(Major) Francis K.Gikonyo stressed the need for people to cultivate the habit of reading books to help broaden their scope of knowledge and understanding issues of national interest and the world as a whole.
The speaker ended by thanking all of those who were involved in helping the author to accomplish this important task of writing this book “Unstucking the Stuck”
