Television actress Nana Gichuru was Tuesday afternoon killed in a road accident on the Eastern bypass after her car rammed into a lorry.

Police and witnesses say the actress appeared to have been trying to overtake a number of vehicles in her BMW when she collided head-on with an oncoming truck.

Curiously, the lady who is said to have previously worked at the Kenya Airways has been posting what appears to be a premonition of her death on social media, often asking why people always questioned her driving style in high speed.

“Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ‘HOLY CRAP!!!! WHAT A RIIIDEE.

To lace, red lips and oversized headphones and this amazing ride! #‎LifeAccessories ‪#‎SetLife ‪#‎HOLYCRAPWHATARIDE,” she posted on Instagram on September 10.

The accident dominated the social media where Kenyans posted condolence messages while sharing her memorable photographs and videos.

Here are some of the reactions by Kenyan on social media:

“RIP beautiful Nana Gichu. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits Peter 3:10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit,” Tony Wambua consoled.

Gichuru had also posted, “I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom in me in a magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live. Not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time. – Jack London.”

She was an actor, writer, musician, voice artist, young film maker, “entrepreneur, travel junkie, maaard thinker and an unconventional human in Nairobi.”

She was part of the cast of Maisha Magic’s “How To Find A Husband.”
