Kenyan Diaspora Set to Gather for Major UK Festival in Oxford

The Kenyans in UK Festival will return to Oxford on 15 August 2026 at Horspath Sports Ground.

The event will run from morning into the evening and is expected to attract several thousand members of the Kenyan diaspora in the UK. It will feature music, food, and community activities throughout the day.

Organisers say the festival has grown since its first edition and now serves as a cultural and social meeting point for Kenyans living abroad. It provides a space for cultural expression as well as networking among attendees.

The music programme will be headlined by Kenyan artist Nadia Mukami, with Addeh Prince also scheduled to perform. A lineup of UK-based DJs, including DJ Thew, DJ Mugodee, and DJ Febian, will also take part. The performances will include Afrobeat, Amapiano, Gengetone, and other popular Kenyan and African music styles.

Food vendors will offer a range of Kenyan dishes, including nyama choma, pilau, samosas, and other street foods. The food offerings are intended to reflect familiar flavours for the diaspora community.

The festival will also include informal networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and students. Organisers describe it as a multigenerational event open to families as well as young and older attendees.

Ticket prices start at £30 for early bird entry, rising to £40 and £45 in later phases. Group tickets are available at £25 per person for bookings of ten or more. Tickets are sold online via matataglobalcreatives.com.

The programme will begin with daytime activities designed for families and social interaction, before transitioning into evening entertainment with higher-energy performances.
