A Kenyan couple that lost their two children two years ago has welcomed four bundles of joy.
Teresia Wanjira Mwangi and her husband Ezekiel Karuri Ndegwa were thrown into misery after their young son and daughter succumbed to heart-related complications in 2018.
Ezekiel said the passing of the two kids left them with great pain and lots of unanswered questions but family, friends, and church helped them sail through the difficult period.
The two could not hide their joy after they were blessed with quadruplets last week. Teresia gave birth to four baby girls through a cesarean section at Naivasha Sub-County Hospital on May 5th.
The two, who are in their 20s, described the birth of the four children as the best gift they have ever received in their lives.
“It was very difficult for us. We thank God for answering our prayers,” said Ezekiel.
Teresia said: “It has been tough for our family after losing our young babies but the Lord has repaid us in double and the process of raising them now starts.”
But the two fear they will struggle to raise the four babies simultaneously as what Ezekiel earns is too little to fend for them. Teresia, a housewife, and Ezekiel, a Jua Kali artisan, have appealed to well-wishers for assistance.
Naivasha sub-County hospital superintendent Dr. Angeline Ithondeka said the newborns are in good health apart from one who required oxygen support.
