Joy and Ullulations as St Stephen’s Church Lowell rekindles its unity after surviving its “Hurricane Irma”

As hurricane Irma, one the strongest tropical cyclone worldwide approached to hit South Florida and the Gulf Coast,winds and high pressures intensified reaching its peak intensity with over 185 mph (295 km/h)
St Stephens Church Lowell,Massachusetts experienced its own “Hurricane Irma” the early part of September 2017
The sudden accusations and counter accusation levelled against St Stephens Church Lowell Pastor.Rev Samuel Kimohu had found a place in the local media most of the accusations as many people admitted were far from the truth,blatant lies well orchestrated mud-slinging meant to tarnish the good name of the Church and its leadership
A revolutionary shake-up as some may call it,leadership wrangles had intensified immediately after a peaceful,transparent church departments elections.
The people’s choice was made clearly by members and many Church members were happy with the ultimate decisions and choices made having participated fully in the smooth democratic election process.
One Church member interviewed, name withheld was asked his opinion about the recent Church counter-accusation had this to say;
“I have no dog in the fight but the timing of the whole drama and somersault was suspect and needed a further, closer look to establish the truth and the genesis of the whole mess.”
“A lie can travel halfway around the World while the truth is putting on its shoes”
Consultative meetings were then held immediately to contain the “Hurricane and floods” to ensure achievements and gains made at St Stephen’s Church Lowell in the last few years did not go down the drain
The Parish Church Council (P.C.C) elections meant to be held on Sunday September 24th 2017 were immediately rescheduled until a further date.
The incumbent Church P.C.C with additional board members were appointed on a transitional basis to ensure that the church runs smoothly as they transition to what the Church members and leaders decide
Regular,uninterupted Sunday services ensued past Sunday September 17th 2017 and church members displayed unity and readiness to work with each other much more than ever before.
The Church announcements were made by the P.C.C Chairman Kariuki Kimungu and P.C.C Vice Chairman Mr.Sam Mbugua (Big Mbugua)
Rev.Samuel Kimohu prayed for the incumbent and new transitional Church P.C.C board members
The 30 minute sermon was given by St Stephens Church Lowell Pastor, Ven.Samuel Kimohu who preached on Psalms 90:3 with a powerful summation
“it is better to put our trust in God than to depend on man”
There was a new rekindled spirit of unison among church members as they worshipped freely without fear or intimidation.
Excitement was in the air as they sang various praise and worship songs while other prayed out loudly
Others after church,were seen in smaller groups giving each other high fives, talking and catching up on the next course of action;displaying joy and unity in one formidable force,perhaps depicting from Genesis 11:6 The Lord said,“If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
