Bomet gubernatorial candidate Joyce Laboso took an early lead garnering 74,595 votes as the incumbent Isaac Rutto had 33,279 votes in 321 out of 728 polling stations.

In Machakos, Alfred Mutua had 23,854 votes against Wavinya Ndeti’s 21,195 votes in 190 out of 1332 polling stations by 12:40am.

Boni Khalwale had by midnight been whitewashed by the incumbent Wycliffe Oparanya who had 24,852 votes in 120 out of 1,497 polling stations against Khalwale’s 10,687 votes.
