Equity Bank Scoops 22 Awards at the 2018 Think Business Banking Awards

Equity Bank has yet again cemented its place as market leader after emerging the Overall Best Bank in Kenya at this year’s Think Business Banking Awards.The Bank received a vote of confidence, recording a resounding victory by bagging 23 awards,including sweeping the top slot for SME Banking,Agency Banking, Mobile Banking,Asset Finance,Internet Banking, Digital Banking,Product Innovation and Sustainable CSR among others.For the second year running, Equity Group MD and CEO Dr.James Mwangi won the CEO of the Year award.The Bank’s Daniel Gachau -General Manager Treasury won the Outstanding Young Banker of the Year Award,a testament to Equity’s rigorous mentorship and coaching that has developed leadership which has placed the Bank at the helm of the industry.

The Equity Bank Team displays the awards won during the 4th Banker (EA) Africa Awards ceremony held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi. The Bank won several awards namely Banker of the Year Award (for the 2nd year running); Best Commercial Bank- Kenya; Most Innovative Bank-  Kenya; Best Digital Offering East- Africa; Best Commercial Bank East- Africa while Dr James Mwangi won the Banker of the Year- East Africa for the 2nd year running.
