Kenyan Engineer Murdered After Advertising Car Online
A Nakuru engineer met his untimely death after meeting people who posed as buyers for his car which he had posted on a popular online shopping site.
The body of 28-year-old Alex Mariera was found bundled in a car boot, a day after he travelled from Kirinyaga to Nakuru to meet the supposed buyers.
The father of the deceased, Francis Misonge Mariera said that Alex drove to Nakuru in the family vehicle while the suspects in his son’s murder, drove the vehicle that was on sale.
“My son travelled from Kirinyaga to Nakuru on Wednesday to pick logbook to his vehicle after he said he had found buyers who were to pay him Sh950, 000,” Misonge told The Standard.
Alex’s mother, Mrs Lucy Mariera described the shock that gripped her when she came across the family vehicle with his son’s body in the boot.
“We had been communicating with my son but after picking the logbook and the vehicle, he did not answer my calls. The phone was later disconnected,” said Mrs Mariera.
Alex Mariera’s body was taken to Umash mogue with family asking police to speedy investigate the murder and ensure justice is achieved.
