DIASPORA SERVANT IS ORDAINED PRIEST AT ACK ST. STEPHEN’S CATHEDRAL, JOGOO ROAD, NAIROBI ON AUGUST 3RD 2019
Reverend Kibai Mwangi-Gikuyu from Peabody,Massachusetts was Ordained to priesthood in a glorious ceremony at the Anglican Church of Kenya.
The ordination was presided over by the Right Reverend Joel Waweru, who is the Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Nairobi.
Reverend Kibai served as Deacon from August 4th 2018 as is normally required in the Anglican Church.
The other deacons in his class who were Ordained priests are Charles Karuri, Christopher Mbogo, David Mwaura, David Ouma Ongul, Fridah K Miriti, Janeffer W Njenga, Justus Thuthi, Joseph King’ara, Lukah Mwangi, Naftali M Omaside, Nathan W Karanu, Peter M Gachaga, and Samuel Thairu.
Those who were made Deacons were Evangelist Dunson Muriuki, Mr. Hosea Pala, and Lay reader Josphat Kimani Kuria.
At his Ordination to priesthood, the Reverend Kibai was given the charge of the Church of All Nations in North Reading, Massachusetts.
He replaced the founder of the Church, the Reverend Johnson Irungu who has moved out of state.
Church of All Nations is located at 235 Park St.North Reading and it serves people of all Nations.
It has taken the sheer hand of God and His gracious favor for the Reverend Kibai to get here.
He previously served as Lay reader and Brigade teacher at St. Paul’s Community Church in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
He was the only priest to be given charge of a church among those ordained.

Later after the Ordination there was a thanksgiving reception at Taj Gardens, Thika. Fellow longtime friend, Mr. Joseph Kariuki Ndungu (JN) of Springfield,Massachusetts spoke on behalf of the Diaspora community.
We thank God for the gracious favor He has shown to one of our very own Rev. Kibai Gikuyu, who was grafted into the Nairobi Diocese.
May the Lord be with his servant and his family in the new role.
