Boniface Mwangi Concludes UK Diaspora Tour with White Cliffs Hike Ahead of 2027 Polls

Activist and Ukweli Party leader Boniface Mwangi wrapped up his United Kingdom diaspora tour this weekend with a community hike along the White Cliffs of Dover, capping a series of political and social engagements ahead of the August 2027 General Election.
Mwangi’s UK itinerary combined formal indoor forums with informal outdoor networking to connect with Kenyans living abroad. The tour kicked off on October 17 with a Political and Social Baraza at the Karibu Lounge on Wellingborough Road in Northampton.
Mid-week events shifted toward academic and political discussions. On October 22, Mwangi participated in a public session titled “From Protest to Power” held at the Khalili Lecture Theatre inside the main building of SOAS University of London.
The tour concluded on October 24 with a recreational outing dubbed “Tembea Kent na Bonnie.” Kenyans joined the presidential aspirant for a walk at White Cliffs View in Kent, offering an opportunity to spend time together outside traditional political settings.
Throughout the visits, discussions focused on leadership, governance, and the role of the diaspora in Kenya’s political future. Organizers stated that the events were designed to hear directly from citizens abroad regarding the issues affecting them.
