Appeal for help to meet funeral expenses for Kenyan killed by thugs
How ironic can life be? How utterly cruel and stupid can human beings get? When thieves, killers and child molesters walk and live freely in society, never hurt by anybody. Yet they will shoot dead an angel among us. Thugs shot our beloved Ken Roy Muigai. Ken who would remove his shirt and give it to you if you needed it. Blessed by God beyond words. Anything he touched multiplied. His love for his wife and children, his aged grandmother, mother and sister knew no bounds. He uplifted his family from near poverty to another high level of life. Jelousy must have brewed like cancer. No need to continue being annoyed. Let me be positive and forgiving.
Kenneth was born in 1979. Same year as my first born child. That is partly why it tags at my heart so painfully as his aunt. He was born with a heart ailment. His mother worked tirelessly time again and again to pull her son through. He weathered his medical problems, or rather he refused to let the problem hinder him. He worked hard at school. Passed his exams and became an exemplary employee. As I told you, anything Ken touched multiplied. His love, kindness and care for his family was always double dose.
Time and time again he used his personal resources to get medical care for his grandmother. His goal was for Cucu Miriam to live longer in good health. Who would have predicted that he would go before her. How ironic life is??
He was central in family matters. Together with other cousins, he planned visits to aging family members near and far.
Ken’s death is senseless to us family members. We ache with pain imagining those final moments of pain and shock. Shock to him that anyone would want to harm him and rob him of his life when all he ever did was make life a little easier for those around him. All we can do now is give him a dignified send off, pray for his little boy and his young wife and other family members.
Funeral budget is Kshs 400,000 by Thursday 5/21/15 for the burial onFriday 5/22/15 . We have a deficit of Ksh 300,000. Please help us.
