1AM: UHURU MAINTAINS LEAD IN PRESIDENTIAL VOTE

With more than half of the polling stations tallied, President Uhuru Kenyatta is ahead of his main challenger Raila Odinga by more than one million votes.

Here are the latest presidential election results from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as at midnight:

26,279 out of 40,883 polling stations

Uhuru Kenyatta 5,743,793 votes (55.21%)

Raila Odinga 4,568,561 votes (44%)

Jospeh Nyaga 25,573  votes (0.24%)

Abduba Dida 18,483  votes (0.17%)

Ekuru Aukot 18,054  votes (0.17%)

Japeth Kavinga 7,670 votes (0.07%)

Cyrus Jirongo 7,360  votes (0.07%)

Michael Wainaina 5,673 votes (0.05%)
