VIDEO: Citi Hoppa Bus Explodes in Traffic

A Citi Hoppa bus on Wednesday evening burst into flames near Adams Arcade along Ngong road in Nairobi.

The vehicle registration number KAT 218H exploded outside Green House Mall under unclear circumstances.

According to reports, no one was injured as all the passengers got out of the bus safely. Fire fighters made their way to the scene and managed to put out the fire.

The incident comes hours after a bus carrying 54 pupils from Victorian Academy in Meru County overturned along Langata road in Nairobi.

The learners who were headed to Bomas of Kenya for the National Music Festivals were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

According to reports one of the students died while six others suffered serious injuries. The rest were mostly shaken and traumatised.
