Unpackaging the strange woman in Proverbs 31
“She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.”
She has good taste is laced with eager hands when she is buying anything for the home Notice the words…. ‘She selects…’ she is not haphazard, she is careful in matching colours, she can walk if she needs to so as to adorn her home.
Guys you can have a rough idea of how your house will look like by the way she dresses and the colours she admires when you two are window shopping.
“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
Are you a woman of many words or are you a woman of The Word? As a lady, some decorum is required when it comes to your speech patterns. Tact should be employed so that you colour the world of your man with seasoned speech.
Even when your man is wrong, there is a way that you can correct your man and still make feel like the King before your eyes, NEVER EVER CORRECT him in public…even when he has hurt you….talk with wisdom.
Don’t nag your man, you will perforate his ego. He will shut you out of his heart. Affirm him, the rest of us don’t care about him we use him and misuse him, you should never abuse him.
You should be the one there for him every single day. DOn’t shred him to pieces. If you are upset at the way, people treat your hubby….think again, could they be taking the cue from you?
Guys watch out for ladies with a sharp tongue who speak their minds without sieving the words?

As a woman your standard is not your neighbor or the praise and worship leader in church.
You need to be fleeing your own success by aiming higher. YOu need your own class because you are not measured by the standards of men but of the word.
You make decency look indecent by making it special. You are a breath of fresh air, you light up a room with your smile, you move and walk with poise, you are something!
“Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.”
(Imagine with me) When your man is hanging out with his boys, they green with, because they know that their wives have nothing on you!
When you stand out, your man’s steps are oiled with your conduct and your approach to life. Don’t you feel nice when your man is honored because you bring favour, joy and goodness to him?
“She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple”
This has the underlying connotation of love making that is embedded with a thought process and culminated with action.
She understands that her man needs sex…better than that, love making. She goes ahead to make a heaven in her haven….
She makes sure that her bed is a place of comfort because intimacy is about to be expressed.
Her dressing accentuates her beauty, it embellishes her persona….I mean she is seducing her husband…She is sensual in her approach, calculative and strategic…
This is a wise woman!
“When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.”
A wife who is on top of her game, operates from a point of rest. She has covered her bases and the family glows. She knows her duty and she does it with grace and style. She is a template, an example and her household have no choice but to be blessed
“She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy”
A generous woman understands CSR as part of her own budget.
A stingy woman will never make a good mother as she will pass on that trait to her kids. She will be bitter if her husband imagines that he can help a poor person in need.
Guys this is a mobile curse in a dress, you don’t want her under your roof. Run because if you marry her, you will plummet into oblivion, this is . . . May Day…may day…may day x10!!!
“She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks”
A lazy woman is repulsive by any standards. Destiny cannot be built in front of the TV watching 3rd rate Mexican soaps, Fake and poorly scripted reality shows or the predictable Nigerian insult to what we would otherwise call movies and then lace it up with doing facials the whole day. (They have their time and place)
You need some ardour to add to your looks!
“She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard”
As a lady are you an early riser, do you attack your day with enthusiasm do you plan the meals of your household or do you leave it to chance? Do you have some business acumen or do you subscribe to the school of thought that,
“My husband will slave for us and it’s my job to give him babies and look beautiful”
This woman is an investor, she has foresight, she is a thinker and a strategist, she is smart, she can bargain….any guy will tell you that they like intellectual stimulation in their women.
If he dies, he needs to know that you will manage his estate and run his business like a Tigress!

Can your husband trust you? If you are dating, do you add value to your boyfriend or are you fond of taking, taking, taking and demanding without ever filling his well and the day he fails (because he will) you throw a nasty tantrum?
Ladies , granted we have our part to play and many men are not doing it….if you can’t add value to this guy…EVERYDAY….please don’t marry him because if you do, you will harm him.
If you are married, its too late to change the script, memorize your lines and do your role! It’s that simple.
