Transition/Death Announcement of William Muiruri Maina March of Lawrence, Massachusetts

William Muiruri Maina, 51, peacefully passed away on October 31,2022 at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 13, 1971, he was the son of the late Moses Maina Kabugi and Lucy Maina.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, William was a long time resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was a gentle, kind, intelligent man, and a dynamic participant in life. He loved to watch tennis, European soccer, and was a lover of feel-good music, movies, and was a passionate fun dancer. William also enjoyed delicious meals from Chipotle.

He found most joy being with his family. He always instantly made friends with anyone and always had a warm welcoming smile on his face. William was an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

William is survived by his beloved mother, Lucy (Njau) Maina; sisters, Margaret Maina, Anne Maina, and Esther Maina. As well as his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Macharia, Chelisa Macharia, Rayden Waweru, and Bryce Waweru.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on November 8, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 55 Hideaway Lane, Methuen.
