He was the husband to Serah Njeri Mwangi, Father to Monica Waithira Mwangi (SWG member) formerly of Dracut,MA now residing in Portland,Oregon USA,Michael Waweru Mwangi,Lucy Ngendo Kiruri of Mihango,The late Lazarus Kamau Mwangi,Susan Mugure Mungai,Francis Mungai Mwangi, and Mary Anne Wairimu of Nairobi.
He was father in law to Teresia Nduku Waweru of Terry Designs,Jack Ngahu Mwangi and others.
He was grandfather to Raymond Mwangi Waweru of California,Brian Kamau and many others
