Ramah Nyang joined CGTN in 2012 as a business anchor and reporter. Prior to that, he worked in various Kenyan media houses, covering a range of business and political stories.
While working as an editor and an anchor at KTN, he was the brains behind a weekly show
Nyang’ was known for his in-depth coverage of Kenya’s ICC case.
At CGTN, he has covered developments in Kenya’s Capital Markets, Fiscal and Monetary Policy over the years.
Peninah Karibe
Peninah Karibe has been in the media industry since 2000. She worked at KBC Radio and later moved to NTV where she was a weather presenter and later a news anchor/ reporter.
She joined CGTGN then known as CCTV in October 2011 as a news anchor for Africa Live.
She has covered various significant events such as Kenya’s 2007 General Election, 2010 Constitution Referendum and eventual promulgation, South Sudan’s Independence Referendum and Independence in 2011, Uganda Elections in 2011.
Other than current affairs she did special reports on Environment and Wildlife conservation including lion collaring exercises, buffalo translocation, and how human activities may have contributed to the drought that hit Kenya in 2009 and the impact on the country’s tourism industry.
Saddique Shaban
Saddique Shaban formerly worked as a Sports News Reporter/ News Anchor at KTN from 2005 to 2013.
He later joined CGTN where is the current Sports Editor and Reporter based in Nairobi, Kenya.
When not chasing athletes around for interviews, he can be found in the rally championships. He is a licensed navigator and an award-winning motorsport journalist.
He is also a corporate MC and a sports consultant for a number of elite Kenyan athletes.
Enock Sikolia
Enock Sikolia joined CGTN in 2020, leaving Citizen TV after two years.
Prior to that, he was a reporter at NTV where he became a senior reporter after covering Kenya’s 2013 & 2017 and Tanzania’s 2015 general elections.
Sikolia soon began doing in-depth and investigative stories on matters of governance, health, environment and wildlife. His award-winning reports have often left an impact and policy changes in Kenya.
Sikolia has received awards and recognition including the 2015 CNN Multichoice African Journalist of the year award, the 2018 & 2019 Annual Journalism Excellence Awards and the 2020 Presidential Order of Service Award.
Sikolia has professional training in Investigative Journalism at RNTC, Netherlands and War Journalism from Anadolu and Turkish special forces.
Jane Kiyo
Before joining CGTN, Jane Kiyo was a news anchor at NTV and Citizen TV.
She is currently a general news reporter for CGTN Africa. Jane has covered a wide range of issues in Kenya and Africa with an interest in politics.
She was well known for her coverage of Kenya’s 2002 and 2007 General Elections and the post-election violence as well as the presidential elections in Rwanda.
