The Weekend of Empowerment:May 27-28,2016 Unleash Spiritual & Emotional Health
Spiritual and Emotional Heath
The topic of spiritual and emotional health is very dear to my heart. For many years I was
emotionally unhealthy. I was in the ministry, serving God with all my heart. I had a vibrant
ministry where I witnessed God saving, delivering and healing His people with the Holy Spirit.
However emotionally I was out of balance, to put it right I was a mess.
This provoked me to start paying attention to my spiritual and emotional health. I revisited the
biblical teaching; God created both men and women in His image, which includes our emotions.
We are a product of an environment that has taught us how to embrace spiritual truth through
the work of the cross. However, emotional health is not emphasized. At the cross Jesus
exhibited both spiritual and emotional stability.
We look into our spirits and emotions as separate entities (both are intertwined). However,
when we ignore the emotional component, we engage in practicing Christian disciplines such as
church attendance, prayer and bible study; but beneath the surface behavioral habits from our
past continue to hunt us, preventing us from unleashing our full potential and authentic growth
in Christ.
God desires to heal our emoonal wounds by doing a deeper work through our spirits. Shi-ing
blame, escaping or excusing our behaviors is not a health way of dealing with our issues. God
wants to deal with the root cause.
During Pinnacle of Praise Show: Weekend of Empowerment Boston 2016:
We will have live case studies of people who will share the stories of overcoming emotional
wounds (and how they did it)
We will have Christian Therapists/Ministers who will transfer both spiritual and clinical skills.
