Police kill 3 dangerous gangsters in fierce Juja shootout
The three suspects had shot and injured a man in Murang’a – A lady was among the three criminals killed by police officers – Residents decried rising insecurity in Juja and Ruiru areas -No police officer was injured in the incident Police on Friday, May 26, shot dead three suspected gangsters in Juja along the Nairobi-Thika Superhighway. The three including a woman were reportedly gunned down at High Point estate and are suspected to be part of a gang which has been terrorising residents in Nairobi, Murang’a and Kiambu counties.
Police officers had been tipped by members of the public that the gang had shot and injured a person at Kenol in Murang’a County.
Juja OCPD Patrick Munyasia confirmed the incident saying the officers from the Special Crime Prevention Unit had received the registration number of the vehicle which was used by the suspects in the Murang’a incident. “The police acted swiftly and began pursuing the gang members who were driving towards Nairobi. On reaching Juja the suspects diverted towards Thika and defied police orders to stop near High Point area,” the police boss said. Read more: https://www.tuko.co.ke/
