Peter Kenneth Exposes ‘Broke’ Miguna Miguna
Nairobi gubernatorial contender Peter Kenneth on Thursday revealed that his rival Miguna Miguna was bitter towards him because he declined to give him money to fund his governorship bid.
Speaking In an interview on Citizen TV, the 2013 presidential candidate said that he turned down Miguna’s request for money, and asked him to organize a fundraiser.
“Miguna came to my office to ask me for money that he would use to fund his governorship bid. I instructed him to hold a fundraiser, which he did, but none of the guests showed up,” he stated.
The former Gatanga legislator was responding to accusations made by Miguna in late April that he was incompetent to lead Nairobi County and had fake academic papers.
Kenneth further said that Mike Sonko’s running mate Polycarp Igathe was not as clean as he was made to appear, naming a few of the companies he mismanaged before. “We all know what happened at Haco Brands, Breweries and Vivo but I will not reveal that here,” he stated.
Kenneth, who was trounced by Sonko in the Jubilee Party primaries for Nairobi governorship, will contest for the same seat an independent candidate and was quick to dismiss rumors that he had been paid by incumbent Governor Evans Kidero to split Mike Sonko’s votes.
“Kidero cannot afford me. I am not splitting anything because I am an independent candidate,” he reiterated.
