Pastor James Ng’ang’a: How My Son Became a US Citizen
Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism has disclosed how his son became an American citizen.
The televangelist claims he went to the US when his second wife Mercy Murugi was expectant, leading to the birth of their first-born son in South Carolina. This automatically made the child an American citizen by virtue of birth.
Ng’ang’a, who is currently on a tour to the US, described himself as a smart person despite being uneducated.
“I’m smart, it is only that I did not get an education. Mimi ni mjanjaree. She gave birth to our son in Carolina, now I have an American child, so when we go to get our visa’s he lines up in the mzungu lane and us the other lane,” said Ng’ang’a.
“There is a year I came to America like six times, I was so jaded because of the nasty jetlag. At the time my wife was very young, I do have a young wife, so in one of the trips, at the time she was pregnant, she came and gave birth here.”
The clergyman married Murugi, who is half his age, following the death of his first wife.
The two tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony held at Windsor Gold Club in Nairobi in 2012.
