Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV, Defeating San Francisco 49ers
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 on Sunday, winning Super Bowl LIV and giving the team just its second championship in league history.
The win at Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium was the Chiefs’ first in 50 years and denied the 49ers the chance to win their sixth Super Bowl trophy and first since 1995.
Momentum appeared to turn against the Chiefs after the team tied with the 49ers going into halftime. The 49ers pulled ahead by more than 10 points in the third quarter, but the Chiefs scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win the game.
