Kajiado land sale ban on

Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye on Sunday said the ban on land sales is still in force.

He banned all land transactions two years ago.

Speaking at Ewuaso Secondary School on Sunday, the governor urged the youth to protect their land and community.

“We have banned the sale of land in this county because we want the young generation to have a place to call home in future. You have to be bright and protect your community,” Nkedianye said.

Kajiado Senator Peter Mositet said it is taboo for the Maasai to sell their ancestral land.
