The Royal Regiment of Scotland (2SCOTS) battle group has been taking part in battlefield training in Kenya.
More than 900 soldiers faced gunfire, simulated riots, wildlife and 45C heat on Exercise Askari Storm.
The Edinburgh-based regiment pitched into a fictional battle between warring countries Jella and Sortu in the shadow of Mount Kenya.
